Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long does a new project take?  – A brand new order will take 10-15 business days (M-F) to complete.  Day 1-5 is for organizing and correcting any master and graphics issues, and getting proofs approved.  Day 6-10 is used for printing the graphics and making the glass master which necessary for CD & DVD
2.

Manufacturing.  Day 11-15 is for the molding, printing, packaging, and shipping.

3. What is the re-order time? – A re-order normally takes 7-10 business days (M-F).  Since we have the master and graphics approved from the original order, we would re-order the printed graphics (if necessary), mold, print, package the discs, and ship them to you.  Note: to minimize the re-order time, make sure to keep enough printed graphics on hand, ready to use.
4. Can you explain the process of ordering CDs? – It is our hope that when you are ready to order CDs and DVDs, you will contact one of our project managers.  They will help prepare you with the information and materials necessary to start the manufacturing process, and they will explain how and what we do with your materials.  Project managers can be contacted by phone, fax, or e-mail.  (link to personnel page)
5. Can you help me sell my CDs? – Sure, this business is a partnership.  If you do well, you will come back and order more CDs and DVDs so it is in our best interest to see you succeed.  We recommend contacting CD Baby, Amazon, I-tunes, and you can become a featured artist on our website to help direct traffic to your website.  In addition, we have some recommendations for distributors and music marketing consultants.
6. What is the shipping time from TSI? – Try and plan your release party accordingly.  Usually your best shipping rates are UPS Ground service.  Shipping from TSI is 2 days or less for anywhere in California. The west coast (Oregon, Washington) is 3-4 days.  Arizona, Utah, Texas, Chicago and Detroit is 3-4 days.  The east coast (New York, Atlanta, Florida) is 5 days.  Air shipments are considerably more costly.  When time is short, we can separate the shipment and send 100 by air and the balance by ground.  It is the customer that is responsible for shipping costs, so it can save you money if we do not have to ship by air.
7. What are your hours of operation? – Our business hours are 8am to 5pm, M-F, Pacific Standard Time.  You can always download an order form or quote request (link to forms) and fax us at 661-702-9029.  E-mail works great as well.  Our general e-mail address is info@cdmanufacturing.com

11.
