SPECIFICATIONS

FILE FORMAT:
We accept the following file formats: EPS, AI, QXD,
PSD, TIFF, PDF, JPEG
RESOLUTION:
All file formats must have a minimum of 300 dpi
(dots per inch) in resolution.
Print images need to be created at 300 dpi or
there will be a substantial drop in the image quality.
COLOR MODE:
For paper printed materials: artwork and/or images
must be provided in CMYK mode (cyan, magenta, yellow, black).
Convert all RGB graphics to CMYK before sending any files.
All black & white artwork and/or images must be
provided in grayscale mode.
Barcodes must be provided in black and white mode.
For printing on the discs, CMYK or 1, 2 or 3 SPOT
colors (PMS Pantone) is available.
FONTS:
Include a copy of ALL fonts used in your files. If
EPS images are linked, be sure to include all linked fonts as well.
Be sure to include both printer fonts and screen fonts.
Quark Express: Fonts and images must be included
with all files submitted.
Fonts must be embedded in PDF files.
Fonts must be outlined or converted to paths or
curves in Illustrator AI, EPS files.
APPLICATIONS:
Adobe Illustrator: AI, EPS – Convert all fonts to
Outlines. Do not embed images, link them to the document and submit
them with native document.
Adobe Photoshop: EPS, JPEG and TIFF accepted.
Files must meet a minimum of 300-dpi requirement and be converted to
CMYK for paper printing. For CD/DVD labels CMYK or SPOT colors are
accepted.
Quark XPress: All Fonts and Images (graphics) must
be included (we recommend using "Collect for Output") with all files
submitted: MAC preferred.
Adobe Acrobat: PDF format. All resulting PDFs
must be high resolution. Fonts must be embedded on all PDF files.
BLEED:
Please use our downloadable TEMPLATES from our
website. They INCLUDE bleed lines for paper printed items. CD/DVD
label templates do not have bleed on purpose.
CD/DVD labels for offset and silk screen DO NOT
require bleeds.
What's a bleed?
It is the portion of the card that will be trimmed
off when cut to the final size.
Why bleed?
The purpose of a bleed is to continue a color,
image or design to the edge of the card.
AVAILABLE
TEMPLATES ON OUR WEBSITE
A low-resolution electronic proof in the PDF format will be
e-mailed.
Note that the color of a PDF viewed on screen is affected by the
quality of your computer monitor and low resolution of file (72
dpi).
MEDIA CAN BE SUBMITTED
ON CD, VIA E-MAIL OR THROUGH OUR FTP SITE.
PLEASE SEND CD’s IN
HARD CASES TO AVOID DAMAGE TO DISK.
